golfing in the rain

last thursday the department of cell biology had its annual golf tournament,
for which I played golf (not considering mini-golf) for the first time in my life!
it all began with nice sunny weather,

but unfortunately it started to pour like out of buckets when we were standing on the
green of hole six, and then it even started to hale and a thunderstorm broke loose,
it was fun though =)
so 8 of us had to squeeze ourselves into a little shelter, which we were lucky to
be close to.

div>after the thunderstorm was over the temperature had dropped by about 10 degrees
(from ~20 in the beginning). it got really freezing cold and was extremely windy.
therefore we decided to have lunch (obligatory hot-dog) first before we continued
to drive & putt.
summing up I had maybe 3 or 4 good shots and 2 good putts, but that's about it.

I have to admit that I've become fond of golfing. It's just that it usually is really f***ing
expensive.

of course, by the time we were finishing the sun came out again =)

...for you to get a feeling how windy it was!

yeah, it's definitely going to take a while until I can afford to go golfing on a regular basis. but we could look for a golfing opportunity around Vienna. maybe we find something "one-time-affordable"...
